2007 Rifle Deer Hunt Summary:
Before we knew it we were in the month of November which is our rifle season
for mule deer and whitetail deer. The 1st hunt kicked off strong with the
mule deer starting to rut hard. 8 out of 8 mule deer were harvested 2 of
which went over 200 class inches on 8 mule deer they averaged 188 inches
along with a couple 150 class white tails.
In the middle hunt, the whitetails were kicking into the rut hard with 2
175 class whitetail bucks and 2 165 class whitetail bucks along with a couple
matcher mule deer.
The last hunt any thing can happen and It did. After 10 days we hade more
heavy horned whitetails going from 150 up to 180 class deer with 3 more
great mule deer one having a 11 inch droptine so all in all we hade a wonderful
season.
2007 Archery Hunt Summary
On sept 7th 2007 the archery season opened up and the deer guides had something
to prove. We had 3 mule hunters and 1 whitetail hunter in camp and after
a 10 day hunt they hade a couple 170 class muley's and a huge 232 mule deer
buck and a 150 class whitetail. That hunt turned out great. After that we
hade 2 more hunters we saw a lot of deer, got some shots, but didn't connect.
It was a great bow hunting season.
